DAY 1: MARRAKECH \ HIGH ATLAS MOUNTAINS \ AIT BEN HADDOU \ DADES VALLEY

After a hassle-free collection from your lodging, start your 5-day tour from Marrakech to Merzouga. We will go across the breathtaking Tizi-N-Tichka Pass to cross the magnificent High Atlas mountains as we say goodbye to Marrakech. You are free to request stops at any time during the trip; your professional guide and driver will make stops at scenic sites.

Following a delectable lunch in Ait Ben Haddou or Ouarzazate, we will travel via the fascinating Rose Valley and Skoura on our way to the Dades Gorge. You can choose to explore the amazing Amridil Kasbah, a unique fortified town, located in Skoura's gorgeous oasis. If you are visiting in the spring, we can arrange a special stop so you can see the valley decked up with an amazing sight of blooming roses.

When you get in the Dades Gorge, get ready to be mesmerized by the amazing rock formations, sometimes known as "monkey fingers," and enjoy a broad perspective of the breathtaking Gorge. We will finally travel to your hotel for a well-earned overnight stay, dinner, and a relaxing evening.

Day 2: DADES VALLEY \ TODRA GORGE \ MERZOUGA

At your Dades Valley hotel, begin your second day with a delicious breakfast. After that, we'll head to Tinghir, where you can explore a breathtaking oasis and ancient kasbahs that originally housed Jewish and Berber communities side by side. Before entering the Sahara desert, you will also get to stroll beneath the 300-meter-tall cliffs of the Todra Gorge.

While traveling, we will stop for a substantial lunch. When we get to your desert camp, your camel guide and our camels will be prepared to take you across the golden sand dunes of Erg Chebbi. While traveling, you will pause to enjoy a stunning sunset and go sandboarding atop a tall dune. Around a campfire under a magnificent night sky, our camp staff will feed you a delicious dinner as dusk draws in and dazzle you with captivating Berber drum performances.

Day 3 : EXPLORATIVE DAY OF THE DESERT

It's best to get up early today so you can enjoy a peaceful sunrise from your camp. We will get you up in a 4x4 car and begin our day of exploration of the Sahara after a delicious breakfast here:

  1. Travel to the location where the nomads are making their home. They will be happy to have you for tea in one of their tents. It's a great chance to learn about their hard life in the wilderness far from society.
  2. Come explore a secret, deserted settlement in the midst of nowhere! The Galena mines are located in the town. They will be visible to you as well.
  3. Travel to a another village named Khamlia, where the residents will perform Gnaoua music for you to hear. They originated in Sudan and other southern African nations. You can also eat lunch at a nearby restaurant here.
  4. If the lake is full, we drive to one close to the town of Merzouga after lunch before continuing on to your riad.

Day 4: MERZOUGA \ RISSANI \ AGDEZ \ OUARZAZATE

This morning's leisurely dawn from your riad's terrace is a reward for rising early. Then we set off on our adventure. We will first make a stop in Rissani's old city, where we will explore a typical souk. After that, travel through the enthralling Draa Valley to Ouarzazate, making a stop in Agdez to take in the valley scenery. In the afternoon, get to your riad in Ouarzazate.

Day 5: OUARZAZATE \ AIT BEN HADDOU KASBAH \ TELOUET KASBAH \ MARRAKECH

We begin our last morning in your riad with a delicious breakfast. Ouarzazate is regarded as the entry point to both Hollywood, Africa, and the Sahara desert. The city is well-known for being a filming site because it is home to the Atlas studio and the historic Kasbah of Taourirt.

We first take in the enthralling vistas of Ouarzazate before continuing on to the fascinating Ait Ben Haddou. This is where we get to see the famous Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, which has been under UNESCO protection since 1987 and is a notable historical site. Its attractiveness is further enhanced by the fact that this amazing fortress has been the setting for many legendary movies and TV shows, such as Gladiator, The Mummy, and Game of Thrones.

After exploring the fascinating Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, we continue our journey via the breathtaking High Atlas Mountains to the bustling city of Marrakech. We will relish taking in views of the intriguing Telouet Kasbah while on the tour.
